Is KwikCash a lender?

No. KwikCash is a non-charging broker. We work with a number of lenders, so you only need to apply once and we’ll send your application details to the lenders on our list to try to find you a loan. We do not charge any application or membership fees. Read our terms and conditions here.

What's the criteria for applying?

You need to be at least 18 years old, a UK resident and employed with a UK bank account. You’ll also need to be in a position to be able to repay the loan on the due date.

When will I receive the cash?

This can vary between lenders. Some lenders can get cash to you in as little as ten minutes, while others can take a few days. With some lenders, you can get your cash faster with a fast-payment fee, although this will be optional.

Are there any charges or fees?

Not from KwikCash. Some lenders may charge a transmission fee or a fast-payment fee, but this will be made clear if they make a loan offer to you, and you will not be under any obligation to accept it.

Can I apply over the phone?

Yes! You can apply over the phone by calling us free from landlines on 0800 788 0888 from 9am to 7pm on Mondays to Fridays. If you’re calling from a mobile, an 0800 may carry a charge, depending on your network. If this is the case, it may be cheaper to call us on 020 3597 4312.

How do I pay back the loan?

In most cases, your repayment will be arranged when you agree your loan offer with your lender. It will usually take place automatically using Continuous Payment Authority which allows lenders to take payment out on an agreed date, and to try to retrieve payment a set number of times.

Can I pay back early or cancel the loan once I’ve received it?

You may be able to repay early or cancel by contacting the lender. You will need to pay the interest for the amount of time that you have had the loan – for lenders who charge a per-day fee, this will mean paying the interest for the number of days you’ve had the loan out for.

How much can I borrow?

You can apply for up to £500. We cannot guarantee that you will receive the amount you apply for.

Do you contact my employer?

We don’t, but a lender may do so as part of their routine checks. This is usually purely to verify that you work there, and your loan application will not be discussed with anyone else.

What is Continuous Payment Authority?

Some lenders use CPA (continuous payment authority) to retrieve payment. This means that you authorise the lender to withdraw the funds from your bank account. They can also make a limited number of attempts to withdraw the money if it is not available. If you want to cancel your CPA, you can do this by contacting the lender or by contacting your bank and requesting a cancellation.

Can I have more than one loan at a time?

Most lenders will not allow you to take out a second loan, although in some cases, you may be able to roll it over for a short while. We recommend against doing this, as it can make the loan more expensive, due to a longer period of time for interest to mount up.

I was just trying to apply for a loan and it’s directed me to another site!

Don’t worry! This is part of how the application process is supposed to work. If your application is accepted by a lender, we will forward you to their website so you can see their loan offer and (if you wish to do so) confirm it.

A field is showing up red on the application form. Why?

This usually means the field either hasn’t been completed, or has some information that doesn’t make sense in that field (a non-valid postcode, or a phone number without an area code, etc), so your application has not been processed. Please check your application information and retry. If you continue to have problems, please call us using the contact information above, or arrange a callback.
